January (01)
1      New Year's Day.

1      Labour Day.

1      Madaraka Day: Kenya commemorates the anniversary of the day that Kenya got self-government in 1963.

Kenyan Safari Rally: The Safari Rally is one of the world's hardest rally, it was part of the World Rally Championship for many years until 2003, nowadays is part of the African Rally Championship and is known as the KCB Safari Rally (its sponsor is Kenya Commercial Bank "KCB"), the rally covers 3,000 km, through scenic sites and take 4 or 5 days.

Maralal International Camel Derby: It is an annual camel racing event full of adventure, fun, and entertainment, organised by the International Camel Race Association in the quiet town of Maralal in Northern Kenya, which has a sunny and dry climate.

10      Moi Day: In commemoration of president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.
20      Kenyatta Day: In commemoration of president Jomo Kenyatta.

Mombasa Carnival :This is the best festival in Kenya, every cultural and religious group in Kenya featuring floats, customs and music, you have the chance to see local traditional Kenyan Dances. There are also many stalls for shopping (selling arts and crafts).

12      Jamhuri Day: This is the most important holiday in Kenya, the country celebrates its independence since 1963.
25      Christmas Day.
26      Boxing Day.

Ramadan: This Muslim celebration is variable year to year, Muslims fast and pray during the day and feast towards the evening. Many restaurants do not serve food. The fasting of Ramadan culminates with Eid ul-Fitr.
