Getting Around Kenya

BY WATER

Travel along the East African coast is a memorable travel experience. There are local ferries running between Lamu, Malindi and Mombasa. You can hire a dhow (a traditional sailing boat) for long cruises or short trips through local travel agencies or directly in the port with a dhow captain. The most popular anchorage points for yachts are located at Kilifi, Lamu, Mnarani and Mtwapa.
