NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK

Nairoibi National Park is the main attraction for visitors to Nairobi, the park has 117 square kilometers of area, is located only 7 kilometers from the centre of the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi, can be reached using the Langata road directly from the airport.

Nairobi National Park is one of the most successful rhino sanctuaries in Kenya, the objective is to generate the sufficient stock for the reintroduction of this species. You can see also lions, cheetahs among other wild-life species.

Nairobi National Park has a rich bird-life with over 400 species recorded, however all species are seasonal and they are not always present, migration occurs primarily during late March through April.

The vegetation of the park is mainly dry savanna with dispersed acacial bushes, although man-made dams have promoted new habitats. The permanent river of the park has a rich riverine forest.

The best time to visit the park is all year round, there is no accommodation inside the park, but Nairobi offers a wide variety of excellent accommodation.
