MOUNT KENYA (KIRINYAGA) It is the second highest mountain in Africa; it is an extinct volcano located in the central highlands of Kenya, only a hundred kilometers north of Nairobi and ten miles south of Ecuador. The mountain has two peaks: Batian and Nelion separated by a narrow space surrounded by an intricate system of peaks and ridges with many glaciers. This mountain offers diverse natural attractive landscapes which have been exploited to combine the wildlife of the area with entertainment activities such as climbing or skiing.
